Homestead Completes Rx Filing Ahead of Deadline

In accordance with the 2021 Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA), and the associated established transparency requirements for the annual reporting of specific information about prescription drugs and healthcare spending to the federal government, Homestead successfully submitted all data ahead of the federal deadline. This data submission required health plans to submit information for 2020 and 2021 by December 27, 2022. While the group health plan is held to comply with the requirements, Homestead worked diligently over the past several months to collect all the data and information necessary to prepare and submit the reports on behalf of our clients.

With just one business day left to comply, various federal agencies issued a last-minute extension on Friday, December 23rd, pushing the due date to January 31, 2023.  While many other PBMs and TPAs were in need of the extension, Homestead successfully submitted the required 2020 and 2021 plan and medical spending reports on December 26th, in support of our clients and their compliance, ahead of the 12/27 deadline.
